Coming Soon!
The reentry program is currently in the development phase and will not be launched until phase 1 of the renovation of our facility is complete. Upon completion, the program will feature more than 30 beds, dedicated classroom space, a modern kitchen, and a learning/computer lab. For additional information about the renovation project, please check out the 2.5 in 2025 Campaign.

Reentry Program and Reentry Center.
How do individuals become part of the Summit Bound Reentry Program?
There are four avenues into our program, all of the routes require an outside referral and application process.
The JII's IPO or Institutional Case Manager has the prospect complete the application and submit it to the program with the required attachments.
The court can order the JII to complete the program as a condition of probation or as a divergence. The burden to complete the program is on the JII, not on the program.
We hold a bed for P&P to place a person who is at risk and needs temporary resource help. The person is given a bed for 30 - 60 days, with case management, after which time the JII can leave or join an active cohort.
In some cases, the individual may be referred to us by another community organization.

Program
The Reentry Program has many different parts and places where the participants engage. Each part of the Program is designed to provide avenues for change, open doors to new opportunities, and meet both the goals of the participant, legal authorities if required, and the program itself.
Emotionally Healthy
The journey toward emotional well-being equips cadets with essential tools to assess their emotional state, implement positive changes and decisions, and cultivate healthy interpersonal relationships. By focusing on this aspect of personal development, cadets can achieve growth across all areas of their lives.
Thinking for Change
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on how individuals think and process their thoughts, emotions, core beliefs, and feelings within the context of decision-making. We provide instruction to cadets on improving their decision-making skills through anger management techniques and Moral Reconation Training (MRT).
Spiritual Health
Spiritual health is vital for our cadets’ well-being and success, providing purpose, faith in Christ, a supportive community, accountability, and a strong foundation for life's challenges. By prioritizing spiritual health, cadets are empowered to lead purposeful lives guided by Christian faith and values, even amidst adversity.
Physical Health
Physical health is a critical component of our program's success, as it enables cadets to support themselves and their families effectively. We incorporate Physical Training (PT) into the curriculum to foster physical strength, promote positive energy, and enhance mental well-being.
Addiction Recovery
It is essential to offer recovery courses, counseling services, and relapse prevention strategies to our cadets to effectively address and overcome the cycle of addiction. To successfully break this cycle of criminal behavior, cadets must confront and resolve the underlying life circumstances, alongside mental health issues and trauma that contribute to their substance abuse.
Trauma Informed
Fostering a trauma-informed and compassionate culture is essential to our reentry program, as we acknowledge the various trauma-related challenges faced by Justice-Involved Individuals (JIIs), in conjunction with their mental health needs.
Teamwork is Essential to Reaching the Summit.
The Cadre Develops Leaders.
Cadets are integral members of a collective known as a "Cadre", which is dedicated to fostering encouragement, support, and teamwork among participants. Within this cadre framework, members engage collaboratively in classes, group discussions, and various activities.

Each cadre is led by a team leader, who has graduated from the program themselves.

Members are tasked with providing leadership and guidance to their colleagues, ensuring adherence to the values and standards upheld by the group.

They are encouraged to take on leadership roles and to support and mentor their peers whenever possible.

Through their dedication and hard work, cadets help to create a strong sense of community and camaraderie within the cadre.

Cadets are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to their fellow members and the overall goals of the group.

By working together and supporting each other, cadets can achieve great things and make a positive impact on the world around them.

Each Cadre is part of a house, where they find a larger community even after leaving the program. Each house is named after a biblical hero, and promotes biblical character and qualities exemplified by the hero, and expected by those in the house.
Success Coaches Show the Way.
A "Success Coach" plays a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals to achieve their goals in multiple areas such as education, career, and personal development. They work closely with program participants to help them identify their strengths and capacities. Together, they establish realistic and attainable objectives, create structured action plans, and address any barriers that may arise along the way. Through this collaborative process, success coaches foster an environment that promotes achievement and enhances overall well-being, guiding individuals toward realizing their full potential and leading fulfilling lives.
A success coach, case manager, and counselor are very similar, and yet different. All seek to support and empower individuals in their respective domains; they do so through different methodologies and frameworks. The success coach emphasizes personal and professional growth through motivation and accountability, the case manager acts as a facilitator within service systems to address client needs, and the counselor provides therapeutic support to enhance mental health and emotional resilience.
At Summit Point Restorative, the Success Coach embodies both the case manager and counselor, while adding in a mentor and cheerleader to the picture. While there are certain team members who focus on being a Success Coach, all team members are trained in the basics of being a Success Coach. Basic training includes Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
